Sunday, August 24, 2008Pixie Blossoms at RedbubbleI discovered this site a few weeks ago and I am loving it. It works just like Imagekind, but I like it better. You can socialize with other members and at the same time sell your art work (photos, paintings and graphic designs). You just upload your best shots in large size and they do all the rest for you (yes, we can add watermark on the photos with just a click). You can buy my photos in matted prints, canvas, greeting cards, framed prints, Soooo, I am moving my humble photos to Red Bubble and I won't be selling them over Etsy anymore. I don't wanna be traveling to the lab, packing and handling my photos anymore. Yeah, I am that lazy! I must simplify my life as much as I can. Labels: photography, redbubble

Thanks for the heads up, Zee. I checked the site and it does look pretty cool. Your photography is awesome. I really need to hone my photography skills and eventually buy me a good SLR...I'm thinking Canon D20. Any good recommendation?
Hi Connie!!! Thanks so much!
Well, recommendations...geez...I still use canon rebel that I bought in 2003. Hahaha! As I am not a professional, I don't plan to get anything big and expensive at the moment.
I would not get D20. I would pull some more money from the pocket and get D40 that has nice features. Still only 10 mp but for the price...buy the body only and get a 50mm 1:4 lens for nice macros and portraits. A 18mm or 24 mm for landscapes. Zoom lenses are no good.
I mean they are ok, the lenses, but those fixed lenses are much better, cons: you will have to change lenses often. if you get macro lens, get a tripod too.
That is a great site! Fun blog too.
Thanks a bunch, Zee. I really really apreciate your response. Very helpful and I'll keep them in mind. You're one generous gal.
You and the boys have a lovely day!
