Monday, January 28, 2008Vintage FabricLast year, I purchased two vintage quilts for my children. Pure eye candy. I loved the fabric so much and they did too. It's fun to look at all these colors, patterns. These below are my favorites, I photographed each piece, to show you. As you can see, small flowered patterns make me swell! Haha! Some people would say that these are for girls only, but do I mind at all? I am sure my little ones don't either! Obviously the quilts have much more fabric on it. These below from Daniel's quilt. At the moment I have a crush on "Little Darlings VI" and "Fresh Picked" by Darlene Zimmerman, "Look and Learn" by American Jane, I also like "Sweet Scape" by Verna Mosquera, Ooooh my Gosh...look at this..."Rambling Rose" by Dena Designs, "Katie Jump Rope", "Barefoot Roses" by Tania Whelan, "Cherry Baby" by Lake House Fabrics and "Pastel Antique Flower Collection" by Lecien. Hello husband, are you there, reading this? Probably not. I want fat quarters for valentine's day!!!! Last summer... Some positivie thinking for today? Slow sales, no motivation, cold days, tight time...here is. For some, might be just blabs, but I tell you...it's hard to be motivated, but I've been thinking positively lately and it a good exercise for our mind. I've been cleaning up some stuff over my shops, removing photographs, reediting them, keeping bags for me, remaking banner, uploading photos to Flickr, organizing my playground! Hehe. I am late with e-mails and do not get mad if I don't visit your blog. I just do things here in a rush, because I have little kids that need me so much and also I hate dirty house and late laundry. Sooooo, thanks a lot for links, comments and kindly messages. I love all. Feel kissed! Labels: Inspiration

Sunday, January 13, 2008Let them eat cupcakes!!!Before the trouble we had cupcakes! The coffe cup is from Starbucks for Valentine's Day. I like their cups with cute illustrations. I actually love illustrations and I am just waiting for better days to start my own...maybe some collages. I don't eat cupcakes. Unfortunately I am not among the lucky ones that cook, bake, eat and don't get fatter. I just love to decorate cupcakes, but as it's messy, I don't make them all the time. Kids had fun though. Before I let them poke the cupcakes, I had to get some photos. All the colors make children crazy and you can see them salivating and anxiously waiting to touch their lips on these candies! Saturday, January 12, 2008Rough WeekI started 2008 with lots of stress and lots of drive, all over Arizona. I definitely don't really enjoy winter. Not anymore. It can be a big problem sometimes. Flu, viruses...endless list. Let me put myself together, so I can say hello again! Labels: blogging
Sunday, January 6, 2008Links :: Blogs and Sites from AsiaYes, not enough inspiration? Not enough! Sometimes I go far, I've landed on some cool sites from Korea, Japan...I can't understand a single word, but the images are interesting, inspiring. I wish I could order some stuff from this shop, but I did not get a decent online translation. Here are some cuties to look at...
Enjoy!

Saturday, January 5, 2008Welcome 2008A bit late, I know! All right, life back to normal. It's snowing again and hopefully it will stop soon. All these days I've been working on new bags. They all have quilter's batting in between the layers for softness. Some mistakes I did, but fortunately I can fix them without problems. How about 2008? Resolutions? Yes, some. I hear that if we write down our resolutions, it's better, but in my case, I will forget to look at them, I know, I will. My mom used to say that I lived in the "land of the moon" all the time, because I don't pay attention to things that....errrr, do not interest me very much. It's true. In high school all the girls used to seat at the same huge table to chat. Ha! I was always somewhere else. Maybe I can use my inspiration board for it, write some big red words to catch up my attention. What do I want? Confidence, more positive thinking, more skills, time management (guilt free), lots of inspiration...anything that pushes me foward will be great and I want peace, love with the family and hopefully, no more weirdos after me! Weirdos, please get a sewing machine! I tell you, it's good. 2007 was a calm year, although I had many of my mood swings bothering me, lack of motivation in the beggining, but in the end, I was just fine. I can't complaim. It was a good year. I have my kids, my family together and that is what matters. Here are the bags I just finished this week... The green + grey bag it was made with a piece of Scotland wool sweater that I wasn't going to wear it anymore, and instead of giving it away, I cut it in pieces. So, I came up with the idea of making a bag out of it. It was delicious to make it, the idea worked out pretty well and it's on my Etsy shop. You will notice different prices. Yeah, I had to do it. I put more than 5 hours on each of these bags and I am not even counting the time I spend shopping for supplies and taking photos and uploading them to the websites I use. If people like, if people love it, they will buy it. This is being a great experience. I am not really worried about it, the story of making money from home is great, but it's so complex. It demands a lot from me and I am still learning a bunch of stuff. If happens, I will be glad and it will motivates me even more. I think this is just the little beggining...maybe... I was reviewing the year of 2007 with photos. I think I do better if I put together a photo gallery to work as a subdomain, I mean, another web page besides the blog. I do it later. Have a nice weekend and thanks for all the messages, all the kindness last post!Labels: handmade, handmade bags, handmade by me
