I just listed in my Etsy shop where you will see more photos of it. Wow, this one was so fun but at the same time a lot of work. The botton was something else to work it, because I don't have an industrial sewing machine ( something for really heavy duty stuff) so I had to give my heart to it and sew by hand all around with that huge tapestry needle and yarn. Not easy as it seems. The interface is thick and my fingers got hurt!
As I've mentioned before, I am making some totes for the summer. These were the first ones made and they will be on Etsy shop soon. I don't have full photos at the moment. Stay tuned for more...
I am playing with different fabrics and being less shabby at this time. I am loving the machine stitchery on linen. How about pleated tops for these bags ? Linen is so cool to work with. I am looking for true natural linen. At Joann I find this linen labeled 100% linen, but I wonder if there is any blended rayon in it...I purchased some linen look yards of blue, pink and yellow as well and they are blended...hmmm, if you know any shop that sells great natural linen, would you send me an e-mail? Thanks.
So, I had to select some supplies, set up the table in the family room where the light is much better and I am back sewing for fall and winter. I chose earth colors, some are vibrant, lots of laces and delicate appliques. This bag below is similar to the ones I made last spring, but I added quilt batting, so it's not a floppy bag. I will try to trace my own patterns for the next ones. I have some more tutorials for us, the next one it will be the "refrigerator bulletin board". If you have visited this blog quite a while, you've seen it before, but at this time, it will be a step by step tutorial. I will be back as soon as I can.

Just bookmark them and have fun! You can make hair pins, brooches and decorate all sorts of projects with fabric flowers! I have another tutorial for a different fabric flower (also from japanese designers) and I will post it later...actually the list of tuts grows longer every day, I just need to organize my time at home, as always!
