Hello there! How are you? I hope you had wonderful celebrations. I had a quiet time with my family and creative moments in my studio making pretty props for photographers and brainstorming new ideas. If you visit this blog for quite sometime you may feel a bit lost or overwhelmed with so much changes I’ve done so far.

I started this blog in 2007 as a way to showcase my handmade work and photos (sorry, I deleted all my past files) I made great friendships with other bloggers and my work has been featured in magazines, popular blogs but then, I took a long 3 years break. During that time I sold photo prints made specially to decorate baby nursery rooms. I signed contracts with companies and they sold my pictures at Pottery Barn Kids and The Land of Nod. I’ve always loved Photography. Last year I almost opened for business (family portraiture) here in town, but I stepped back. It’s not time for that just yet. Maybe one day!

I went to Imaging USA last year and that was great to realize that I could combine my passion for Photography and Handmade work at the same time. There were quite a few prop vendors in this event and I came home with this lovely idea of making my own newborn photography props as well as floral crowns for brides, kids and some pretty, whimsical gifts. I knew what photo props were, but it never occurred to me that I could make and sell them to fellow photographers.

I stopped selling photos last Summer and I listed the first newborn headbands in November. It’s been good. I was not expecting selling anything right away, but I’ve been lucky. I am enjoying playing with paper and fabric flowers, beads, lace, moss, dried florals and I just need to find pace and create an organized structure. I am pretty happy that I found a niche that I like.

Some people asked about my nursery décor photos. Am I going to sell them again? Well, I think I may choose the best sellers and keep them in the shop. I am not sure about it yet. I will decide about this soon. I definitely love creating pretty things for children. Childhood is only once and it goes so fast and that is so very special, right?

Here are some photos of cute lil’ babies wearing Pixie Blossoms headbands. I must thank the amazing photographer from Colorado, Nicole McDaniel for these gorgeous images. Nicole’s Facebook and Instagram.
